I just do not know how you can't be. If you don't like BR, if you dislike FPS, then this isn't going to be in your wheelhouse but very few of you even clicked on the link. As of now, I don't own a PS4 so all I get to do is watch people stream it and if it feels half as good as it looks, I am not sure how anyone is going to be able to compete this year unless you are Battlefield.
Last Friday I was talking about the clean experience I was getting out of Battlefield V beta. Although a bit repetitive, the game looks and feels good. Of course this weekend I ended up hitting a few bugs but nothing killer. The problem is Battlefield will be competing with Call of Duty after EA Dice took a huge reputation hit last year with Star Wars Battlefront. They are also releasing later. They are working against the tides.
PUBG hardly compares to this game. The graphics and the controls of Black Ops 4 just eclipse it. Besides a hardcore fanbase, it would be really hard to justify picking it up over Call of Duty. Fortnite is a different type of battle royal but for those looking for tighter gameplay, they might look this direction. Since it is different enough and its a lot more accessible to the younger audience, it will survive but I am not sure it will be the most dominate BR now.
Call of Duty BlackOps 4 already looked solid with their earlier beta but with what I have seen watching Viss, Doc, and Shroud I could not be more compelled to buy a game. It looks so good on PS4 and so I can imagine what we can get on PC. There is an open beta this weekend, I am going to give my full impression then. I haven't been this excited about a title for a while now.
