Fuck was this long. I missed it yesterday but luckily I am on planes all day so I have time. Now to quickly summarize what I thought about the 2 hours of content. (An hour and a half after if you skip the beginning shit, which is very skippable.)
Satisfactory
Looks to be an open world sandbox builder. I had spent a lot of time on Space Engineer, which has made it a little harder then it should be to get into Subnautica. Even with the cool automation, they have added, these games tend to feel the same so I am not really drawn to it.
Neo-Cab
Uber driver the game? The art looks cool but it looks like a click-along story. Not my cup of tea.
Maverick's Proving Ground
When I said I expected a lot of battle royale games a few weeks ago, I was not expecting this many. Maverick's was the first they showed and damn does it look clean, but we will have to see how it plays. I have no idea how they are going to run a game with 1k players and have it stay smooth or the maps be tight enough that mid game is more than just a running simulator. It has my interest but I am cautious.
The Forgotten City
The game looks to be a mystery-solving game in the first person perspective. I knew nothing about this as a mod so I am in the dark on to how it plays or if its good.Star Control Origins
Described as open-world action RPG that is supposed to be a massive universe. There seems to be a lot going on in this game but there wasn't a lot in the presentation that got me interested.
Archangel: Hellfire
Looks like a mech PVP game. Mechs can be fun but I will have to try it out or see some gameplay because it was thin on detail.
The Sinking City
An open world mystery game that looked pretty rough as movement goes. The way the presenter made it sound was that it was heavy on the narrative, which peaks my interest a little. Its something to keep an eye on but I am not going in first.
Warframe
I needed an excuse to put this game back on my computer and I think it's time to pick it back up. Little did I know they have added a deeper story to the game, which I am interested in playing through. It has been a pretty great game from launch and if you haven't tried it yet, you need to fix that. It can get a bit grindy but is worth some time.
Sega
Shenmue 1 & 2, yes. Shining Resonance, yes. I have been apparently been missing out on the world of Yakuza so this would be a good title to step in. I am going to stop here and just say their line up looks great and I am surprised they didn't do a conference of their own. There is a lot here they could have gone into depth with.
The Killing Floor 2
I loved the first one and for reasons I can't remember never got into the second. I feel like this game is fun with friends as its a zombie wave killer and your own back is hard to watch.
Untitled Games
This publisher seems to be one of a growing trend of publishers that are grabbing indie games and getting them out to the public. With the flood of indie titles, this seems like a good business model on the surface but I think I might be taking a dive into how these are working. None the less, they gave us 3 games they are releasing.
Bravery Network online looks like an RPG where you have a team and decide who to pit against the other. It looks different and had interesting aesthetics.
Morning Star gave no fucking hints of what it is but it could be VR.
Overwhelm is an 8-bit shooter that just didn't look all too appealing to me. I'll most likely end up with this game in a Humble Bundle if at all.
Stormland
This looks like a very legit VR title by Insomniac and as long as I can play it on the Vive, it's going to make it into my library. An open world VR game is something that strikes me as it worked with Subnautica. This might cause nausea in some but for players like me, we are ready. Now, where are my Knuckles Valve??
Night Call
Neo-Cab Parris?
Sable
An open world exploration game. I like the way it looked but I need to know what substance is in this game. I will be paying attention to its development.
Genesis Alpha One
It looked like another Space Engineer until the waves of aliens. Then it looked more interesting.
Don't Starve Hamlet
I played don't starve together and it didn't do it for me. It's not my type of game but might interest those who enjoyed the first.
The Walking Dead
Overkills version looks like a zombie survival game. Like a cleaned up H1Z1. Tale tales version is that click-along story, made for some, not me.
Noita
Every pixel is physically simulated. Does that make a good game?
Two Point Hospital
A hospital simulator that actually looks pretty fun. The games seem whimsical and fun.
Realm Royale
This is Hi-Rez's BR. Same people who made Smite and could be interesting because it has classes and its made by a company that has shown a history of taking game styles and making them their own and better. This game is already on my PC and I hope to try it out.
Ooblets
Inspired by pokemon, animal crossing, and pokemon you say? A unique art style you say? An indie studio you say? Looks bad, sounds fun.Rapture Rejects
This isn't the game I kickstarted! Where is the game I kickstarted?? Still looks fun as isometric top down with Cyanide and Happiness flavor characters. Ill sign up for alpha.
Hitman 2
Haven't played these games but they look fun. I'll keep an eye out.
I know I skipped a few titles but there was a lot in here and at several points I just wasn't interested at all or already covered them. One of the major problems is that a lot of these presenters just assumed you knew the game and detail was lost. Then they would just quickly flash a website and be off. We know there are going to be a lot of new titles this year and next year. Pure PC gamers will not be bored but I am not sure we were well guided on the games coming out.
Side note: This old dude just busted out some hand lotion sitting next to me and I feel like I am drowning in an ocean of flowers...not great.
