Of Course I Do

There are still people who are surprised that somebody in their early 30s still play video games.  A medium that now spans across all age ranges and yet there was a general look of shock in my coworker's eyes when I responded to the question "Wait, you still play video games?"  I assume anyone who is reading this, especially if you are out of college, has been hit with this redundant question. I mean come on, if I am talking about a game I just played, what could the answer possibly be?

To answer the question, yes I still play video games.  In fact, I play a metric shit ton of games.  If I am not on my PC at home my head is fixed to my phone where I am either trying out a new game that popped up on my Facebook feed or catching Pokemon (before the app crashes). I love playing all types of games, from fighters to RPGs, from MMOs to racing games, sports, schmups, rythm, you name it, I'll play it...if it doesn't suck.  Well, even if it does suck I will most likely play it because I have to finish it.

You might be thinking right now, wow this guy is single as fuck.  Well, you would be right but unfortunately I don't fill out the fat stereotype or the skinny one because I try and stay somewhat healthy in between sitting at a computer at work all day and the sweet relief of sitting at a computer at home all night.

I will imagine you are asking why am I here and what is this blog's purpose?  If you are not, here is my explanation anyway.  First off, I am here because as I get older I find fewer people who talk about games and want to talk about the ones I have been playing.  I play a lot of "older" games in my Steam backlog and when I complete them I have thoughts and nowhere to share it.  This leads us to the purpose.  I want to talk about the games and I used this medium before to just write down ideas, so I have decided to type my thoughts into the dark empty space of the internet rather than to the unsuspecting stranger sitting somewhat close to me at Starbucks.  I have also thought about just going on a street corner, holding my Switch in the air, and preaching about what I have just experienced but I am not great at public speaking.

Since writing about games will contain a lot of spoilers I will be adding be hiding spoiler content that you will be able to just hover over and see. Like this:
The princess was not in the first castle!!
I'll do my best not to ruin anything but I don't make promises because, as my former female companions will tell you, I don't tend to keep them. It's not because I am an ass, I just forget, unless I am being an ass.  I'll also provide a TL;DR where Ill sum up what I thought of the game in as few sentences as possible.  Rating systems are too subjective IMHO so those are out as well. All those things aside, enjoy the content and feel free to leave comments.  Unless you are dick, then feel free to fuck right off.

TL:DR; Just another video game blog from and addict.
