You want a ground breaking mobile game with new game play, original themes, and an overall feeling of fulfillment? This is not that game but Heroes & Puzzles brought to us by Aeria Games GmbH is not bad. It's not great, it's just not bad either. Think of it as the mild sauce at Taco Bell.
The match three system can be slight addicting along with the collection of heroes. This game satisfies both these things without being over the top. In fact, it's so simple it kinda works. It does what it does.
There isn't a story, at least one that I have seen yet, so there is nothing really to report there. These characters just look like reskins of many other games, or they were the originals. Its old enough maybe they were. The animation for the attacks is pretty basic and isn't much to write about. It also doesn't suck up your battery as fast as some mobile games do. (looking at you Niantic)
I'll most likely keep this on my phone for a bit but I don't see it having the staying power of Pokemon Go or Crash Royal.
The Game:
Ever heard of match three? Ever heard of a match three on mobile? For you who say no then I can't help you. If you haven't guessed by now it's a match three puzzle game. This is another "hero match three" in where you take on an NPC or Player matching the same tiles on a shared board which grant your heroes the chance to attack. There isn't much beyond that. It comes with the ability to summon daily, chests that grant equipment for heroes, and plenty of levels. It, of course, offers you in game currency and real money currency, which is used to level up your hero. It's also a few years old but just updated, which could kick the population back up and most likely why it wound up on my radar. My Thoughts:
This is your basic hero match three. The one thing about it is, it's not terrible. The opening menu is super simple but at the same time, it's surprisingly refreshing. It's nice just to have my options easily displayed and not being inundated with adds that you have to ferociously click through to get to the next part of the game. I can't tell you how many mobile games have frustrated me with a menu that is more of hidden object game than a menu. The match three system can be slight addicting along with the collection of heroes.
